Rosario Pingaro Elected New Member of NaMeX BoD, and Sits Now Among the Representatives of Telecom, Google, Wind, Fastweb and Tiscali
Capaccio. One of our fellow citizens has been appointed as member of the BoD of NaMeX, one of the most important consortiums of service providers and network operators worldwide.
This morning, Ing. Rosario Pingaro, president and CEO of Convergenze S.p.A., has been appointed member of the board of the Nautilus Mediterranean eXchange Point (NaMeX) in front of an audience composed of exceptional leaders and managers of the member companies, including the giants of telecommunications Telecom Italia, Google, Wind, Fastweb, Tiscali, Aruba and Lottomatica. Such reward has come after Ing. Pingaro has brought Convergenze S.p.A. to a leading position among the telephone operators in Campania and Southern Italy, getting accolades from numerous agencies accredited by the specialized press.
Considered by many as the next, most eligible President of the local co-operative bank, the BCC Capaccio Paestum, Ing. Pingaro, at just 40, is among the leading local entrepreneurs: "This appointment is the culmination of two years of intense work side by side with those telecommunication giants. Being chosen as a member of the NaMeX BoD is very rewarding. I'm also glad to represent my hometown and I will surely organize a national or international convention in Capaccio." At the appointing ceremony in Rome, Ing. Pingaro was with his trusted right hand man, VP and CAO of Convergenze S.p.A., Gianluca Mandetta.
The NaMeX, based in Rome, is the best infrastructure in Southern Europe that interconnects national and international network operators, optimizes costs and level of service, promotes international development strategies and connects remotely the landing stations in the Mediterranean zone. The NaMeX is the focus of attention of the best researchers in the inter-university consortium for supercomputing, the Cineca (www.cineca.it), which is the point of reference in Italy for technological innovation. The Cineca (www.cineca.it) is the result of the collaboration among 54 Italian universities, the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS), the National Research Council (CNR) and the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
