The Company was founded in 2005 with the aim of filling the digital divide in Cilento through HIPERLAN wireless technology, thus bringing Internet connection to areas not yet served by broadband. As a mono-product operator, Convergenze soon realized that by characterizing their offer with a Voce + Data bundle we could win the competitive challenge against the Incumbent, so we asked The Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) for the General Authorization for the public offer of landline phone services as a telecommunications operator, first locally (<200,000 inhabitants), then on a regional basis (<3,000,000 inhabitants) and, since 2015, throughout the country. The Internet access technologies available today in the Company's product portfolio are: ADSL, both ATM and ETH, VDSL2 (FTTC), FTTH in wholesale TIM, ADSL2 + and VDSL2 on lines opened in ULL (20 local exchanges), FTTH GPON and Wireless UWA 4x4 on Convergenze's networks. In order to build our own fiber network, the Company has been the holder of the General Authorization for the creation of electronic communication networks throughout the country since the end of 2014. The wide range of services provided, the supply chain management and the direct support to the final customer, have allowed Convergenze to close the 2017 budget with a turnover of 12M €, an increase of 40% YOY and a 10% EBITDA.
In 2015, the Company diversified our services by approaching the Electrical Power and Natural Gas markets (as a trader), and creating a business department that, while maintaining its operational independence, could make the most of the efficiency already existing in the commercial, administrative and frontdesk departments, then planning to purchase electrical power directly from the Italian energy market (GME) by the end of 2017. In a very short time, after experimenting with innovative forms of cross-selling, the new Energy Business department has become an important part of our corporate growth, reaching today revenue values close to the Convergenze's TC business segment.
Planning, research and training are the tools on which the Company continually invests to innovate, pursuing a business model inspired by "green practices", in which all operational choices are oriented towards compliance with these principles. In fact, our Energy Business department supplies electrical power that comes from 100% renewable sources and has invested heavily to build a network of electric vehicles charging points called EVO (Electric Vehicle Only) in the Cilento area to promote sustainable mobility. The EVO charging point is a perfect synthesis between technology and a traditional charging station: it has a hotspot for wireless connection that allows charging the vehicle via smartphone, even without an exclusive contract with Convergenze. This is what makes it different from ordinary charging stations.
Our Data Center, which occupies part of our HQ basement, with 20 Space Equipment Rack, and an available 60 Space Equipment Rack, UPS redundant 400 kvA (expandable to 800) a 70 kW dual-circuit refrigeration system, and a 450 kW generator, Internet access from 50 Gbps, is one of the largest, most advanced and powerful data centers in Southern Italy. It will also host advanced virtualization services (datacenter as a service) placed on the market in a bundle with the FTTH network (ultrabroadband up to 300 Mbps) and with highly interconnected European network; this will make us win the competitive challenge against the international players ( such as Amazon, OVH, Aruba, Linode).
Also, on the top of the Convergenze Innovation Center lays the largest photo-voltaic system in Southern Italy, made with glass-glass technology. This technology, in addition to ensuring high productivity, allows an easier integration with the architectural lines of the building, in total respect for the environment: high technology and landscape integration.
ISO 9001 standard, which attests to the efficiency and correct management of the Company's processes, ISO 14001 standard, which attests to an effective environmental management system (EMS), and and the OHSAS 18001 standard, which certifies occupational health and safety in the workplace. and finally ISO 27001 standard, which certifies the efficiency of the information security management system and ensures the integrity, confidentiality and management of all sensitive data.

The very name of our company, "convergencies", states our goal: make the flow of data and telecommunications converge by using the broadband only. This simplifies the way we provide our services and makes them much more affordable for the customers.
The Internet Network of Convergenze S.p.A. grows daily. At present, our nearest NOC, in the town of Capaccio, is connected to Rome, to the NaMeX point (20 Gbps) by different communication channels and then it reaches the MIX point in Milan (30gbps). Rome is our strategic hub where, in addition to buying transit from Tinet (2.5gbps), Interoute (1gbps), Cogent (2.5gbps) and Level3 (2.5gbps), we also reach two European interchange centers, namely AMS-IX (2gbps) and LINX (500 Mbps). In Milan, in addition to the balanced transits with Rome, we reach the Any2 exchange point in Los Angeles (1Gbps) and the netIX network (2.5 Gbps). The capillary professional presence at European level has led Convergenze to be, with about 2300adjacencies, the most interconnected network in Italy and the 10th in the world. Our President Rosario Pingaro has been a member of NaMeX BoD since 2013, which is the second NAP in Italy. The Convergenze landline network has also undergone important changes and at present is based on a dual architecture: TDM SS7 and ITC-IP, the latter derived from VoIP SIP technology. The points of interconnection with the TIM voice network are constantly expanding (4 new nodes per year) and include the following OPB (Optical Packet Backbone): Rome, Pescara, Brescia, Nola, Ancona, Florence, Perugia, Milan and Bari.
