Italian Operator Convergenze Selects Zhone Technologies Multiservice Access Line Concentrator

FTTx network access solutions provider Zhone Technologies (www.zhone.com) announced that its new multiple access line concentrator has been deployed by Italian operator Convergenze S.p.A. By deploying Zhone Technologies’ multiservice access line concentrator, the leading regional operator in Southern Italy is now capable of offering affordable and reliable VoIP and high speed ADSL2+ Internet access services to its customers in southern Italy.
By utilizing Zhone's market-leading multiple access line concentrator, Convergenze has been able to increase network bandwidth and reach, lower service delivery cost and provide advanced services to its customers, said Zhone Technologies.
In a statement, Ing. Rosario Pingaro, president of Convergenze S.p.A said, “Zhone's solutions give us a high level of flexibility in both our service and system configuration options." "With this advanced capability, we are now able to efficiently deliver high-quality advanced services that will elevate our competitive position and accelerate our growth strategy.
