Summer Party 2018 with Silvestro Franchini, the visionary alpinist

This year Convergenze celebrated the start of summer 2018 at the Convergenze Innovation Center with an exceptional guest: Silvestro Franchini, one of the bravest and most visionary Italian climbers. In the company of relatives and friends, the Convergenze team had the privilege of watching the multimedia recount of "Los Picos 6500", the latest climb made by Silvestro, his brother Tomas and Franco Nicolini, which lasted 3 months, along all the peaks of the Andean ridge, until reaching the finish line of the 7,000 km route and 83,000 meters of climbing, crossing four Latin American countries. The climbing team, followed by National Geographic, was also followed and supported by Convergenze S.p.A. as a partner.

"The mountain is my life, I was born and raised in the mountains and this is the fundamental reason that made my business possible, I am sure that if I was born in a different place, at sea for example, I would have had different experiences, like swimming or fishing". After talking about the beauty of his experience and the authentic value of the mountain, Silvestro concluded his splendid story, reminding us how important is the environment in which we live, as it influences the choices we make, the challenges we face and the goals we intend to achieve. We all are aware of it and believe that what Silvestro said is an irrefutable truth; for this reason, Convergenze will continue to work for the protection of the environment through sustainable innovation because we are made and shaped by our environment and derive the deepest meaning of our lives from it.

After the multimedia presentation, we had a rich buffet dinner, wine and good music and a lot of fun on the terrace of the Convergenze Innovation Center.
